conditions of stay

we only host guests who respect the following conditions of stay, and reserve the right to terminate any stay at any time at our sole discretion if ignored:

strictly - no access to dune sand (soft sand dunes are protected along this coastline)

no fires left unattended

no pets roaming unsupervised

no access to the salt pans

no sleepovers

no noise after 10 pm

no seafood prep or trash inside

no housewares/furniture may be removed from the cottage for trips/picnics/beach

please report all breakage, damage, spills, power outages and disturbances immediately

pets welcome

• all pets stays on request only

• rooisee is not fenced 

• 3x8m enclosure at back door for large pets

• socialised and house-trained pets only

• no pets may roam unsupervised

• no pets may be left inside the cottage for longer than 1 hour unattended

• yard poop-scoop provided

• pet poop bags mandatory for all beach walks

• medium/Large pet beds available on request

• no cats/exotic pets allowed

• Rooisee is unfenced with direct access to the beach - please take care of animals and young children

• Beach decks are private property of rooisee - please report any public disturbance

• No alarms/burglar bars by choice as this property has had no security incidents to date (wooden shutters for all windows)

• Mile16 beach has no lifeguard services. Yzer main beach only 5 minute walk from rooisee

• Emergency contact numbers are available in the scullery

• Do not leave valuables in plain sight

• All stays are at own risk of any injury or any damages/loss to personal property

cancellations 7 days or less from arrival date - 100% fee non refundable

cancellations 8-19 days from arrival date - 50% of fee non-refundable

cancellations 20 days or more from arrival date - fully refundable
